How To Create An  
Electronic Resume?

Many employers require electronic applications.  
The following quiz will help you measure  your
strategy for preparation for this this type of resume.

- Is your name and how to reach you at the top of
your resume?

- Is your resume printed on only one side?

- Have you used a common type font:  Helvetica,
New York Times or Courier?

- Have you used white or light paper?

- Does each section start with a bold font.  Do you
avoid underlining, or italics?

- Is your font between 10 and 14?

- Do you avoid stapling or folding your resume?

- Do you use you use single spacing except
between sections on your resume?

- Have you included key words (but not too many)
for the position, occupation, industry or company?

- Does your resume include a summary statement,
a skills summary or accomplishments summary?

If you answered “yes” to most of the answers
above…  Congratulations!  If you answered “no”,
then you need to check your resume to create it for
an electronic format.
